In this day and age, it's not uncommon to see single item bullet lists
and single step procedures. We're all about the hierarchy here. To
remove the numbering would probably disorient a user more than a
numbered step, because it looks different than the other procedures.
This begs forward thinking into the age of thought-based UI. How many
procedures do you think it would take to drive a device purely by
thought?
