Subject:Re: Word 7 recovery files From:Robert Courtney <bobsc1 -at- earthlink -dot- net> To:deborah <deborah -at- evostor -dot- com> Date:Tue, 18 May 2010 19:27:44 -0700
Deborah,
Thanks for the suggestion. I'll keep that one in mind. I finally did get
the file back to a usable format. I did everything to recover it. I
finally did a copy of the file to a new name. The corrupted data (disk
area) seemed to copy over to the new file. The file copy must have done
a recovery on the bad data or MS Word figured it out when I opened it.
That saved me a great deal of work.
I did set up vista to do a backup when I sign on in the morning to a
network drive of all my document files. I'll see how this works as I
don't have a lot of room on the network drive.
I do thank you for your input.
