If your OS is Vista or Win7, then it comes with SnipIt, which is a slimmed
down version of a screen capture program. You can take shots of just the
areas that you need, among other options. (It's under Programs >
Accessories).

Subject: Screen Capture Software?
Hi all,
I haven't gotten the okay from my company for SnagIt, and I need a good
screen capture software for a Help Manual I'm working on.
I've read something about Shup, which is freeware and seems to have good
reviews.
Does anyone have any experience with this software? Or any other
alternatives that I can use?
I hate using the word method of taking a screen shot, because then I can't
capture JUST what I need and the time to fix it takes forever.
