automating Frame doc updates via external code ? (was: in search for better tools)

Hi Robert,

Could you elaborate on what process was used to automate FrameMaker doc
updates based on source code?  I'd be very curious as to the tools and
work-flow.

I do lots of API documentation, and I've (almost) always worked directly in
the source code and used tools such as Javadoc and Doxygen/DoxyS.  And the
big argument I've always made is that it was impossible to keep an external
(FrameMaker or Word) doc in synch with changing code.  So it looks like
I've missed a possibility!
