Add me to the list of people who say to use variables for terms that change. I
only use conditional text to make sections of a document appear or disappear for
different versions of a document (for example, a training document with notes
that should only be visible in the instructor version).
No matter how much of an "aha!" moment I experience devising complicated
solutions, they always seem to become harder to use when I have to go back and
use them again a few months later.

About the many people having sucessfully managed dozens of conditions with old
Frame versions, I had heard of that but we had not had the need so far, and now
the complexity it involves scares me.
