I have successfully used Audacity for recording and editing, and Windows
Movie Maker to put it all together. I ended up buying Camtasia for screen
recording and to put it all together, but still like Audacity for audio -
probably because I'm used to it. And the editing tools let you record in any
order because you can split and align tracks easily.
