It's a bit disingenuous to make a pejorative statement about an entire
group of people (or even a person) and then grouse when someone
objects to being stereotyped and belittled. An off-the-cuff slur is
still a slur. Calling it off-the-cuff doesn't change its nature or
exempt one from the natural reaction of the slurees. If I made a
similar swipe at tech writer stereotypes, or stereotyped any group,
I'd expect to hear objections, and rightfully so.
