Subject:Re: Any other ideas about Word Outline numbering? From:Deborah Hemstreet <dvora -at- tech-challenged -dot- com> To:Dan Goldstein <DGoldstein -at- riverainmedical -dot- com> Date:Thu, 10 Sep 2009 10:44:55 -0400
Well, it was an awkward workaround, but I found it (by the way, working with
Word 2003).
I opened the template and created a couple of numbered lists.
I went to the second list and then started to record a macro. I then set the
list to restart from 1, and redefined all of the indentations for the
defined lists, and applied a short-cut key.
Now all I need to do is add the macro command to a toolbar and shortcut key.
Tested it... the numbering works fine. Don't know why I didn't think of that
before!
Thanks for your tips though. I could not use Dan's tip because the people
who will use the template do not understand how to use Field Codes at
all.....
