You received this message because you're a subscriber to TECHWR-L.
This ad posting is sent daily directly to all list members to help
underwrite the costs of the list (just as ads in a newspaper,
magazine, or journal underwrite the costs of those publications).
In this posting, look for the following ...
WEBINAR: Collaborative Authoring on a Common Platform
and at the end you'll find the concluding administrivia with
information about these ads and how to place your own.
WEBINAR: Collaborative Authoring on a Common Platform
The traditional tools for collaboration - email, FTP,
and removable storage - are no longer effective as the
complexity of content management increases between customers,
graphic designers, translators, technical writers and publishers.
Specifically, the DITA-based workflow is incomplete without a
common platform for collaborative authoring, and -by extension-
collaborative content development and publishing.
A collaboration platform has stringent requirements:
- It should be easy to use for all the players involved
- It should be consistently reliable
- It should be secure and redundant
- It should be flexible and affordable enough to create
content whenever needed (i.e., software-based rather than
hardware-based).
I will present this topic in a FREE WEBINAR on two different
dates, as a lead-in to my talk at the ISTC Conference on
September 22-24, 2009.
