Thank you, Stuart!

I actually have that book on my shelf (2e).

I'm not sure when I'll get to that (mountains of research on minimalism
so far!), but when I do, I'll be sure to let you know what I find.
Maybe I'll take a quick look just to check.

And I appreciate the Google search tip -- I only wish I had time to
learn more about these things. That will help immensely.

That's what I like about a mailing list like this: we all have our
unique configuration of skills.

Thank you again.

Best wishes,

Steve

I wonder if minimalism has been absorbed into newer fields such as the
information typing part of DITA. Steve, if you can find a copy of
Developing Quality Technical Information, by Gretchen Hargis et al, I'd
be interested to hear how much overlap you find with minimalist
principles.

I'm back to late 2002.

Apologies if I'm teaching you to suck eggs, but did you know you can
Google the techwr-l archives directly? Googling for:

minimalism site:techwr-l.com/archives

... yields 274 hits, ranging from a 1994 discussion to the current
thread.
