For a monthly magazine, I would suspect that is normal. 

I agree with the others -- send a nice thank-you note and hang tight. The internal process of 
hiring can take forever. Trying to contact references, coming to a consensus among the 
interviewers, getting final approval from upper management, and negotiating a salary with 
upper management (and also getting your work done in between) can take a few weeks. 
Typically, an employer will not call with an offer until all of these things are done.
