My website saga, part 1.1 - transferring domain

Thank you, once again, to everyone who shared 
with me their hosting recommendations and 
warnings and advice! I'm saving all of your 
e-mails for reference...and in case my foray into 
GoDaddy land doesn't work out as well as I hope.

I FINALLY heard from WhoIs.com this morning, 
about why I couldn't log in. It turns out they 
have entirely new login portal, one which you 
can't access from their main website (or when you 
choose Login on their main website). I tried it, 
and it works! Tomorrow I'm going to either go 
back through my notes from GoDaddy and transfer 
the domain, or call GoDaddy and have them do it for me.
