I would hope. However, as Geoff pointed out, not all such understanding
can be a given.

Since I have not yet encountered a user who interprets the term "click"
as a keyboard activity, I tend to omit the "Press ENTER" portion. I try
to keep the direction as free from interpretation as possible. Make it
clear and unambiguous. It may not be creative, but it communicates well.
