Thanks for all the links, Arroxane! I was recently informed by my manager that "program management" is the new wave. The project am leading should be referred to as a program management project to grab the attention of the higher ups.
I thought my project was an process improvement or efficiency project. Now I see that "program management" is just the new way to refer to those types of projects.
I am now enlightened as well.
