The Editorium also had some good articles on indexing a couple of years
back -- available in the archives at The Editorium web site.

Hi Jennifer

I recommend this article as a starting point

How can I automatically generate an index in Word?
http://www.word.mvps.org/FAQs/Formatting/CreateIndex.htm

Although it mentions techniques in Word, it also addresses general
issues regarding what you should decide to index in the first place,
which are technology-independent. Even for the Word-specific parts of
the article, if you are moderately familiar with Word, then you will
probably have little difficulty in identifying the nearest equivalent
Robohelp features.
