I believe if you're willing to use an additional tool that Doc-to-Help would be a good choice. I've used it with Word as the source document, made all my changes in Word and then updated my Doc-to-Help project to create web help output or html help output. I'm pretty sure you could create multiple outputs that way.

When I evaluated tools in this category a couple years ago, Doc-to-Help was the only one that didn't choke on my complex Word documents.
