I think one is DDR and the other is DDR2.

Use either or both the System Scanner and Memory Advisor to find out
exactly what you need, what combinations your motherboard supports, etc.
Even if you don't buy from Crucial (and they're a well-thought-of
source), you can get your questions answered there.
