The company I work makes financial software for credit unions. I've used
the word "picklist" to refer to the list of items you can choose from
when a selection window is displayed (or should I say, "when a section
window appears"?)
(BTW, the name of the company, USERS Incorporated, has caused some
people some amusement. I have some t-shirts that say USERS in big
letters, and they have drawn some interesting comments/)
David, m'dear, I've just read through about 10 of your posts trying to
identify your industry, but I didn't find anything in that bunch to tell
me. In what context do you use the term, just out of curiosity. Thanks.

Have just come across this word for the first time. I find it . . .
unpleasant.
Do you use this term? Surely "listbox" or just plain "list" are the
usual terms. Or has this word been around and I've just missed it?
