AIT supports conditional content (and always has), but differently
from how the file-based tools support it. AIT doesn't use tags;
rather, because it uses a database, it lets you build different books
and topics that include the specific pieces you need.

Sometimes variables can be used for those different pieces, but it
really depends on the content.

And sometimes embedded topics can be used (which are similar to what
other apps now call "snippets"). The difference with AIT is that a
topic object can be included in the structure of one or more books
(where a book is similar to a project in other HATs) or as an embedded
topic.
