I'm looking for a term that's actually widely used in that industry...
whatever the heck that niche of industry is actually called...
In other words, if I know what they call themselves, generically, I'll
probably know what they call the system/process.
Anyway, I think that "relief" was achieved by adding additional slabs of
foam-board to build it out into ridges and ledges. However, a lot of the
detailing is actually grooves and channels carved into a flat foamboard
surface, then spackled over with ... whatever material they're using.
