The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
Regarding Snag-It in general...not this particular version, what is the
upside of Snag-It over less expensive screen capture and editing
programs such as HyperSnap? We use the most recent version of HyperSnap
and it works like a breeze and has had the multiple image feature for
quite awhile. RoboHelp's included screen capture utility is based on
HyperSnap, although it may be an older version. I tried an older version
of Snag-It but didn't see any feature that stood out.
I've got a co-worker here who really likes the "ragged edge" feature,
the ability to draw red circles around selected parts of a picture, and
the ability to dim out all but a selected part of the picture.
