Hi Whirlers:

I'm stumped. I am documenting a Web application (an app that runs in a
browser), and I am having a very difficult time finding a list of
terminology to use for some consistent terms. The company I am doing the
documentation for has lots of terms--but they are all for Windows-based
software. They just don't work for what I am doing.

Information in the Microsoft Manual of Style is sketchy at best, and my Web
Application Handbook is not much help either. My team does not even agree on
terminology, and I just don't feel right about telling people to "enter text
in the table tab." I think the tab is the access control, and what displays
after clicking the tab is a page, but I can't back that up with anything.

Recommendations for online or offline sources would be gratefully received!

Thanks!
PT
