Hi Erika

One possibility that I observed demonstrated by Adobe Evangelist RJ
Jacquez is that you may use the latest version of Acrobat to create what
is called a "Portfolio". This ships as a single PDF, but may contain
Excel spreadsheets and other file formats that will open in their native
applications if you want them to. Right from inside the .PDF.

Might be worthy of investigation.
