Mr. Serious,

Have you even snickered at one of the jokes in this thread? Or are you
trying to make a joke now? Granted, we are discussing the whether an aitch
should be pronounced, but there are clear jokes peppered in this thread that
you seem to take a little to literally.

A linguist would write a book on language, rather than a technical writer,
because a linguist needs to discuss historical and sociological subject
matter in addition to the technical subject matter in the book.
