Personally, I doubt this will be settled out of court.
It would set a bad precedent and would essentially
mean that Sun would passively be admitting wrongdoing.
This might serve as a test case of the CA statute
generally to change industry-wide practice but if
it comes down to having to prove that Sun behaved
egregiously in setting hours or treatment of this
employee, I don't think Hoenemier will succeed. The
original article pointed out that the suit needed
to find at least one more person to join to qualify
as a class action suit and also said that Sun writers
did not join when approached.
