After working primarily 2 full-time jobs over the past 15 years, I seem to be having more luck getting interviews lately for short-term (typically 3 month) W-2 contracting positions. In my neck of the woods, there appears to be more contract than regular hire positions for technical writers at this moment. I'm sure I'll accept something soon; however, I'm scared of the "unknown" having to find work every 3 months.

I guess I don't have a specific question; however, what advice do you have for someone doing short-term contracts until they can find a fulltime job?
