This is an issue that I have, also. I have done only small, occasional
freelance jobs in the past, but I may have the opportunity for a full-time,
long-term freelance project. I've usually been a direct-hire employee or
contractor (W-2).
What kind of insurance does a freelancer in our business really need, aside
from personal liability insurance for injuries, etc.? Aren't we somewhat, or
more than somewhat, protected from liability from errors and omissions by
virtue of the fact that the client reviews and approves everything that we
write or edit?? Doesn't the client need that insurance more than the
freelancer?
Thanks for any input, and have a nice weekend, everyone.
