Controller, naturally.  :-)

Controlled (as a noun, of course).

If it's a client-server setup, use the terms "server" and "client"
(naturally).  If it's a master-slave setup, and you're uncomfortable
using "master" and "slave," I've used "controller" and "device" as
replacements.  If they're peers but designated with responsibilities in
a specific configuration, I'd use "primary" and "secondary" to
distinguish them.
