You're all being too narrow in your thinking, limiting your writing to
active or passive voice. You've forgotten the strongest voice of all,
usually only used by marcomm writers, but perfect in this application.
Sure there's active and passive, but you're overlooking the *pizazzive*
voice. Example:

1. Click New Customer. Shazaam! The hot new Add A Customer dialog box
appears as if by magic, thanks to the AutoDoWhatItShould feature of the
Whammotronix XQ-4000. Talk about labor saving! You'll be onto the next
step in no time.

2. Enter the name you'd like to use for the customer...
