I can think of these:
* Sheep
* Deer
* Trout

Example:
* "A trout is swimming upstream."
* "The trout are swimming upstream."

Hi Zen,

Is. And I would add "that the" after "information" to avoid
the initial misreading (to verify the information).
To verify that the information is up to date, hover over the
relevant category.

If a word is used both as singular and plural (and I can't
think of one right now, either), use "is" or "are" depending
on the sense of the word in that particular context.

The plural of status is statuses. Status' (or status's)
would be the *possessive* of status, and I would avoid it if
possible by using "the <whatever> of the status" rather than
"the status's <whatever>".

HTH,
Marci
