Agreed. Without going into much detail (as the details will vary from
place to place), the higher you go the greater your contribution
should be in scope. That doesn't mean entry writes release notes, mid
writes user guides, and senior writes ultra-techie admin stuff, but:

entry: learn the ropes and prove they have learned them
mid: be a solid addition to the team
senior and above: essentially be a champion within and for the team

Adjust to taste.
