Cross-posting is including all the of the addresses of all the lists in the
same e-mail. This results in havoc for the list managers, as when people
select "Reply All" to reply to a cross-posted email, emails to those lists
the replier doesn't belong to are bounced.
Multi-posting, on the other hand, means submitting the same content to
multiple lists, but each in its own email, thus no bouncing.
Multi-posting is much preferred over cross-posting, if one needs to reach
many lists with the same information.
