That would be true for finding different conversations within the same
thread, but the same conversation is diverging in a new direction with each
post.  I don't really concern myself with the subject line of a thread, but
I do follow the conversations within the thread.  One conversation diverged
in separate directions and became unnecessarily argumentative.  So it was
odd and not about writing.
