TechWhirl (TECHWR-L) is a resource for technical writing and technical communications professionals of all experience levels and in all industries to share their experiences and acquire information.
For two decades, technical communicators have turned to TechWhirl to ask and answer questions about the always-changing world of technical communications, such as tools, skills, career paths, methodologies, and emerging industries. The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
I doubt that any tool will be the "be all, end all" product. It all has to do with "fit" within the organization. Don't get me wrong, I really like Flare. But I do think it's unforgiveable that they don't give one the choice of how to handle file references. Other than that, it was a very good fit for our needs.

Subject: RE: RoboHelp or Flare?
Fascinating. This is like asking: Coke or Pepsi?
For awhile all I was getting were the pro-Flare responses.
Now I'm hearing that Flare isn't that great, but neither is RoboHelp.
