I can't say that I can see the triangle and squares in my mind's eye,
mostly because I haven't really thought about it, but I DID agree with
the merit of your post. If I didn't post about that, I at least MEANT to
do so!

I'm exactly the same way. That figurative light bulb is really a turn on
(pardon the pun). I vividly remember the light bulb moment I had the
first time the Pythagorean Theorem was explained to me in geometric
terms, because I suddenly could *see* how it worked, rather than
just being able to parrot the symbols of the equation. It was in the
spirit of sharing that "aha!" moment that I posted my message in the
musician thread that was so sadly interpreted as a personal attack
and of no value whatsoever. But the fact that one other list member
noted that he now sees the triangle and squares in his mind's eye
almost makes the abuse worthwhile.
