I'm not sure whether to groan or laugh at the "duties"
explanation, considering the number of companies
I've encountered have haven't got the faintest idea
what their technical writers should be doing.

As for "over-representation of higher-salaried
employees, who among us is particularly interested
in the salaries of positions that don't meet that
description?
