When the liscence of FM8 was purchased, it was needed right? What NEED
is there for the SW suite?

Well, if the OP NEEDS either RH or Acobat3D, the upgrade will cost
300$ more than if they had waited to buy the suite. We can assume
there's a need seeing the anger in missing out on the suite in the
first place. But if they need both or need captivate as well, they're
out ahead of where they would have been if the suite was not
available.

But, why not sell the FM8 license to someone who doesn't need the
suite? Sounds like the OP has another piece of software that qualifies
for the upgrade price.
