If you have a telecommuting schedule in place with an
employer, being at your laptop and accessible by phone
at scheduled times, whether near goats or not, is
"showing up." One of my previous employers cancelled
its telecommuting program because "telecommuting"
employees often either did not answer their listed
contact phones when they were needed during their
scheduled working hours.
