My team uses CVS, as a code repository for our Robohelp projects as well --
though we are migrating to Subversion soon.

My main suggestion is keep it as simple as possible. I would recommend
keeping all the files for a project in the same branch. We have had some
issues with how RH works with CVS, and the less complication you have in
general, the easier it is to troubleshoot problems. It also helps keep the
build engineer happy. :-)

- There would be 2-3 development branches at any one time



My initial thoughts are:


To put everything in CVS, and



- Not use RoboHelp?s own source code control


- Keep everything on one  branch


- Merging would be difficult, so I was thinking of using
conditional flags to support any versions  that need to stay in parallel


- Generated files could be saved on the  corresponding
development branches


Any feedback, tips would be great,
