TechWhirl (TECHWR-L) is a resource for technical writing and technical communications professionals of all experience levels and in all industries to share their experiences and acquire information.
For two decades, technical communicators have turned to TechWhirl to ask and answer questions about the always-changing world of technical communications, such as tools, skills, career paths, methodologies, and emerging industries. The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
Gotta cite for that "law"? Does it apply to colons too. I see that you use
only one space with a monospace font. I always use two spaces and I think
sentences look odd with only one space because they look like they run
together and sometimes they read like run-on sentences to me with only one
space. Plus, I learned to type on a regular, old-fashioned typewriter. I
remember learning to press the keys hard so that the text wouldn't look
faded. Punctuation really could get lost, so spacing made a difference.
