As a matter of information, "something called XMetaL" is
actually the leading competitor to Arbortext Epic in the
dedicated XML editor market. XMetaL used to be the
product of a company called Blast Radius, but after a
name change and a corporate acquisiton the current
pubisher is a company called JustSystems, Inc. Back in
the Blast Radius era, they actually took the interesting
approach of recommending the use of structured
FrameMaker as a high-quality publishing tool for the
back side of an XML system that uses XMetaL as the
primary editor.
