Hi, guys...

About two weeks ago, my boss gave me the approval to work from home F/T (I agreed to go to the office each Thur ). The reason I asked for this is not the the best reason; I live 3 hours away from the office (I had an apartrment near the office) and I need to be close to home to address the needs of an elderly parent in a terminal condition, but forget that...it's not the purpose of the post.

What I've discovered is the + and - of the work situation:

Minus:
-- I'm working more hours than I ever did, and that's saying something. My day yesterday started at 7:30am with a conf call to India and Cork; Ireland and ended 12:30 last night, then started again at 8:30 this morning and looks like I may see 12:30am come and go.
-- I'm must join a gym...the 'fridge is only 2 rooms away and keeps calling my name.
-- I can listen to speakers and not have to use headphones.
-- I need to up my cellphone minutes plan...I've been on conf calls about 3 hours today already.
-- I gotta get me a "comfy" office chair.

Plus:
-- I'm sitting here in my sweats and tee, in a haze of Padron cigar smoke, and have a Bass (no, not the fish) within arm's reach.
-- I'm staring out at the ocean about 600 feet from my office window.

...back to work, me.
