TechWhirl (TECHWR-L) is a resource for technical writing and technical communications professionals of all experience levels and in all industries to share their experiences and acquire information.
For two decades, technical communicators have turned to TechWhirl to ask and answer questions about the always-changing world of technical communications, such as tools, skills, career paths, methodologies, and emerging industries. The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
Background: I first ran a web server, and wrote web pages, in 1992 and
have since done every aspect of web development as an independent
consultant. I write procedural code, markup, configure enterprise apps
and even fix graphics. I've done this in advertising, IT, oil and gas
and non-profit industries. Forgive me, all, if I'm a bit opinionated
and too respectful of others not to be honest. Politeness that defers
truth to imagined fears is not as respectful as many might think.
