Sorry, let me just re-state that.

"Many of the developers and QA engineers I've worked with..."

Where "Many" is a percentage higher than 75%. In other words, "most".

In yet more words "unlikely to do that over 90% of the time" is your
experience, and totally contradicts mine.

So we need someone else to chime in here, which way will it swing?

Back in reality, they're unlikely to do that over 90% of the time, so I
think the usage was correct (sorry: I am a realist).
