Maybe I'm revealing one of my many peculiarities, but I remember Lotus Notes with some fondness. It made collaboration a good deal easier, and removed the need for emailing documents back and forth.

Wikis seem to be taking up where Lotus Notes left off (although I surely have missed some intermediate steps, intranets being one of them).
