Every once in a while you establish relationships with clients that go
beyond what's written on the standard contract. I've had several
clients in the past who, if they told me they were bringing me in for
12 months I would have confidence in 12 months, and if I looked
one of them in the eye and said I wouldn't leave before that I
wouldn't no matter what offer came my way, at least not without
laying the situation before them (knowing these people, they'd say
take the offer unless they were in a position to match it). I don't
think there's any point in trying to explain how you know you have
a client like that or not, when you do you just know it.
