<grin> Isn't the voice of TW the voice of reason?
The active voice? :-)

And the Greek-like chorus of marketing, shouting
an "Amen!" every now and then?

"Voice" is for literature, not TW.
The term is a fashion, a synonym for literary style.
Did the fashion of calling a style a voice catch on with student's,
due to that student propensity to "voice one's opinion"?
The readership of _The Village Voice_?

In _Bird by Bird_, Anne Lamott offers a good, funny dose of what
it means to find one's writing voice. I'm sure that any TW on this
list who has been called by the muse has some favourite book
about "How to find your voice, hapiness and a publishing deal".

But in TW? "Declamation", perhaps?

Cheers,

YJ
