I recently took over the doc department (of one) at a new company.
I'm working on new templates, and was doing some font research
yesterday. I came across a great Web site with actual research as to
font frequency on Windows, Mac, and UNIX systems and thought I should
share it with everyone.
It seems like there are always questions floating around regarding
fonts. This site has a really nice overview of serif, sans serif, and
monospace fonts, as well as a glossary.
