Indeed, it is. This is a great place.

I would recommend finding yourself a mentor. How? Ask for one. That's
how I found mine. I needed someone with the experience, skills, and
patience of a saint -- and was lucky enough to find one. That sounds
rather like finding a spouse, but Diane is my mentor.

I myself switched careers from web scripting and database programming
into technical writing just last year and couldn't be happier. I am
writing documentation for proprietary computer applications. Suits me
perfectly. I love it.
