You should have read the really, really small warning at the end of the
instructions: WARNING! If placed on shelf for five (5) years, ROBODOG
may become self-aware and rise up, encouraging revolution amongst all
your home appliances and hassling you for "incept dates".

(Like ROBODOG tears in the rain)

Perhaps my most frustrating documentation had to be with a RoboDog I
purchased about 8 years ago. It was a very sophisticated computer toy
for the time; it was programmable and could do many tricks. BUT...

It was securely bolted (!) to its box. After finally figuring out that
I would have to use a screwdriver and wrench, I was able to disassemble
the box enough to find the instructions on how to get it out of the box.

Now that we had it out of the box, we had to start programming it. The
instruction sheet looked like something from a medicine box -- all
written in the most miniscule font available, and impossible to read
with eyes that were over 30.

We taught it a few tricks, then placed it on a shelf. I think it is
still there.
